Messages on this kit: ephpip-0: - Mar 2, 2023 Hey, I just installed the brushes and the voltage regulator.. I then brought it to AutoZone, and everything passed, except for the voltage regulator. I crimped the metal to the AC taper copper pin on the rectifier and still did not get a good connection. The voltage regulator you sent may be faulty. I will need a replacement for a voltage regulator. Can you please ship me a brand-new one and I will ship the one I have in the same box to you? AlternatorBrush.com - Mar 2, 2023 Hello. The only thing I can do is refund a return. These kits are installed without issue, but if the are tested off the car on a tester not compatible with B-CIRCUIT, LIN1 4/19200, , LIN1-A-3-E, COM VC-05, it only takes a little inaccurate variance to get an error. The off system test unsure and I can not afford to ship multiple good parts which this may very possibly be. The manufacturer has test equipment that should ensure proper function, but in the event an Autozone test shows an error, the only way to know is to double check on the manufacturers equipment. I know the jobs are not the easiest and why anyone would go 'double check' at Autozone, but it is honestly the ONLY time I get a message like this. I can not remember one having a problem that was all installed correct and not working on the car. when just installed.. Anything is possible and Autozone has cast doubt that their error code 'may be the voltage regulator'. So it is usually best to exit the process with us, get the refund and try another supplier to eliminate us sending another 'bad' part giving another Autozone error message. If I was gigantic and could afford it, I would send 2 sets to anyone using part store test equipment on these convoluted highly specific pieces before wanting to use. Then both pieces showing error would maybe cast doubt on the test itself, or maybe not. Not sure. But I have seen this enough to think sending another regulator will not fix the error code on that test. I could be completely wrong and hope you can send back for a refund and use a different supplier for your confidence. ephpip-0: - Mar 2, 2023 I’ll install my Alternator and connect the car battery, I’ll try to ignore the error message I got from AutoZone and I’ll run it through to see if I can reach adequate voltage. I don’t want to discard our relationship over a one time purchase… I’ll give it it a try before deeming the regulator as inaffective. Let’s see how it goes, if all works well I’ll be more than glad to keep it and give you fabulous feedback. However if it doesn’t work properly, I’ll purchase a new rectifier from you and see if there’s a better connection. If that fails too, then I’ll resort to return for refunds.
